Amy Dietz is a Partner and co-founder of Exceleration Music, launched in 2021 alongside four industry veterans to invest in and develop independent labels and the entrepreneurs behind them. Exceleration works with some of the most storied indie labels in the world, among them Alligator, Bloodshot, Kill Rock Stars, Mom+Pop, SideOneDummy, and the U.K.'s Cooking Vinyl, alongside a growing roster of independent labels and artists. The company's 2023 acquisition of Redeye Distribution, a long-standing pillar of the independent music world, extended that mission further, building real infrastructure for the broader indie ecosystem. With roots at Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA) and Ingrooves (now Virgin Music Group), where she was EVP/General Manager, she has spent her career building organizations that are both commercially proven and deeply rooted in the culture they serve, forging relationships with labels and artists driven by a genuine belief that what they make matters.

At the core of her work is a conviction that music is culture first, and that the labels, music, and communities formed around it deserve real stewardship and vision. She believes that music and the experiences built around it are among the few things that still ask us to slow down, show up, and be genuinely present with one another, and that the connection made in those moments is irreplaceable. In an industry increasingly shaped by speed and metrics, she has remained committed to building trust and cultivating experiences and relationships that last. That combination of commercial acumen, industry reach, and long-game thinking is what she brings to every endeavor. She has served on the boards of A2IM (American Association of Independent Music) and the Music Business Association, and has been recognized by Billboard as both an Indie Power Player and a Women in Music honoree in 2026.
